The following are the Diocesan prayer items for the week beginning Sunday 4th August 2019:
1. Thanksgiving
• We thank the Lord for blessing us with a new King (Yang DiPertuan Agong), and all current leaders of this nation. For they are appointed by God for the welfare of the people.
2. Intercession
a) Praying for the Diocese family
• Pray for all those who are affected by the recent fire in Penangah:
o Pray for the families of those who have lost their lives, for comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding from Jesus
o Pray for restoration on all who have suffered loss in this fire, the rebuilding of homes and lives. Ask the Lord to encourage those who are currently serving actively and faithfully in our churches, and for further protection on all servants of God.
• Pray for the English and Chinese Leaders Conference from 11-12 August at All Saints’ Cathedral. Pray for the stirring up of passion for the Lord and His ministries among the laity, that evangelism and discipleship can be more effective. Pray for the plenary sessions speakers: Bishop Melter, Bishop Emeritus Dr. Hwa Yung, Rev. Chai Lip Vui and all workshop speakers.
o Ask the Lord to prepare the hearts of all participants as they gather together to receive encouragement from the Lord and as they mutually encourage one another.
o Pray that the Lord will stir up the laity towards faithful, committed service and ministry in His Church. Ask the Holy Spirit to impassionate the laity towards missions and ministry.
o Pray that this Lay Leaders Conference will continue its momentum as we seek to build God’s Church together.
o Pray for smooth running of all logistics and supply of finances to meet our budget.
• Pray for the BM Young Adult Conference from 12-15 August at St. Patrick’s Church, Tawau. Pray for strength and wisdom for Dean Musa, the Coordinator for the Conference, his working committee. Ask the Lord to speak through the plenary sessions speakers: Bishop Melter, Bishop John Yeo, Ps. Nicholas Sarasta and all track speakers.
o Pray for the smooth organization of the Conference and logistics
o Pray that the Lord will raise up a generation of young adults who will impact society, demonstrate godliness and integrity in their lives, and making a difference in their marketplace and their family.
o Pray for the participants to grow deeper in conviction and commitment in evangelism and discipleship.
o A personal touch from the Lord for all participants.
o Pray to the Lord of Harvest to call workers into the Harvest field, that some will respond to God’s call to go for mission and full-time ministry.
b) Praying for the sick
• Praying for healing for all those who are in need of healing in our congregations, spirit, soul or body.
c) Praying for the nations
• Pray for revival to come to the Church and the nation of Malaysia. Spend time asking the Lord to give us specific vision of revival and press in in prayers.
• Pray for revival and healing to come to East Asia, focusing on China and Hong Kong – pray for protection over China and Hong Kong against the scheme and deception of the enemy. Pray for hearts to be open to the gospel.
BAHASA MALAYSIA
Berikut adalah bahan doa bagi minggu yang bermula pada hari minggu, 4hb Ogos 2019:
1. Kesyukuran
• Kami bersyukur kepada TUHAN kerana memberkati kami dengan Yang DiPertuan Agong yang baru, dan semua pemimpin negara masa ini. Mereka adalah dilantik oleh Allah untuk kebajikan rakyat
2. Doa Syafaat
a. Berdoa untuk keluarga Diosis
• Berdoa untuk mereka yang terjejas dalam kebakaran di Penangah baru-baru ini
i. Berdoa untuk keluarga-keluarga yang mengalami kehilangan nyawa, agar penghiburan dan kedamaian daripada Yesus yang melampaui segala akal akan beserta dengan mereka
ii. Berdoa untuk pemulihan kepada mereka yang mengalami kerugian dan kehilangan dalam kebakaran ini, pembinaan semula rumah-rumah dan hidup. Meminta TUHAN mendorong mereka yang aktif dan setia melayani di gereja, dan perlindungan yang lebih lanjut pada semua hamba Allah
• Berdoa untuk Konferensi Pemimpin Inggeris dan Cina pada Ogos 11-12 di Katedral All Saints. Berdoa untuk membangkitkan satu keghairahan pada TUHAN dan pelayanan-Nya di kalangan jemaat, agar penginjilan dan pemuridan boleh menjadi lebih efektif. Berdoa untuk semua pengkhotbah sesi: Bishop Melter, Bishop Emeritus Dr. Hwa Yung, Rev. Chai Lip Vui dan semua pengkhotbah bengkel
i. Memohon TUHAN untuk mempersiapkan hati semua peserta bahawa di masa mereka berhimpun mereka akan menerima dorongan daripada TUHAN dan saling mendorong antara satu sama lain
ii. Berdoa agar TUHAN akan membangkitkan jemaat menuju pelayanan yang setia dan berkomitmen di Gereja-Nya. Meminta Roh Kudus untuk mengobarkan jemaat terhadap misi dan pelayanan
iii. Berdoa agar menerusi Konferensi Pemimpin Awam ini, momentumnya akan diteruskan saat kita bersama berusaha untuk membangunkan Gereja Allah
iv. Berdoa agar semua logistik akan berjalan dengan lancar dan pembekalan kewangan untuk memenuhi anggaran budget kami
• Berdoa untuk Konferensi Belia BM pada Ogos 12-15 di Gereja St. Patrick Tawau. Berdoa agar kekuatan dan hikmah untuk beserta Dean Musa, penyelaras konferensi dan ahli jawatankkuasa. Memohon TUHAN untuk berbicara melalui semua pengkhotbah sesi: Bishop Melter, Bishop John Yeo, Ps. Nicholas Sarasta dan semua pengkhotbah trek
i. Berdoa untuk aturan dan logistik konferensi yang lancar
ii. Berdoa agar TUHAN akan membangkitkan satu generasi belia yang akan membawa impak kepada masyarakat, memunjukkan kesalehan dan integriti dalam hidup mereka dan membuat perbezaan di tempat pasaran dan keluarga mereka
iii. Berdoa agar semua peserta akan tumbuh lebih mendalam dalam keyakinan dan komitmen dalam penginjilan dan pemuridan
iv. Jamahan peribadi dari TUHAN pada semua peserta
v. Berdoa pada TUHAN yang empunya Tuaian untuk mengutus pekerja-pekerja ke dalam Ladang Tuai, bahawa ada yang akan menjawab panggilan TUHAN untuk misi dan pelayanan sepenuh masa
b. Berdoa untuk mereka yang sakit
• Berdoa untuk semua orang yang memerlukan penyembuhan dalam roh, jiwa dan tubuh di kalangan jemaah kita
c. Berdoa untuk negara
• Berdoa agar kebangunan rohani akan datang kepada Gereja dan negara Malaysia. Luangkan masa untuk memohon TUHAN untuk memberi kita visi kebangunan rohani yang khusus dan lanjutkan dalam doa
• Berdoa agar kebangunan rohani dan penyembuhan akan datang ke Asia Timur, fokus pada China dan Hong Kong – berdoa untuk perlindungan ke atas China dan Hong Kong terhadap skema dan tipu muslihat musuh. Berdoa agar hati mereka terbuka kepada injil

• 我们感谢主赐福让我们拥有新的国家元首 (Yang DiPertuan Agong)，以及我国现任的领袖们。因他们是神所拣选来维护人民福利的一群。
2. 代祷
a) 为教区大家庭祷告
• 为所有最近在Penangah受到火灾影响的人事物祷告：
o 为失去家人的家庭祷告，求耶稣超乎出人意外的平安和安慰临到他们
o 祷告祈求主修复火灾所带来的任何损失，重新修建家园和生命。求主勉励目前在我们教会中忠心和热心事奉主的弟兄姐妹，并看顾保守神的仆人。
• 8月11-12日，亚庇诸圣座堂：为教区中英文领袖大会代祷。祈求主挑旺平信徒为主火热和热心参与事奉，好让更加有效地传讲福音和门训。为大会的主讲员： Bishop Melter, Bishop Emeritus Dr. Hwa Yung, Rev. Chai Lip Vui 和所有工作坊的讲员祷告。
o 求主预备参与者的心，当他们聚集在一起的时候能够从神里重新得力，也彼此互相鼓励。
o 求主挑旺平信徒能够更加忠心和委身于教会的服事。祈求圣灵加添平信徒在宣教事工和事奉上的热心。
o 祷告祈求这个大会能够维持它的动力让我们一同建立神的教会。
o 为大会的一切安排和运作都能够顺利进行并且供应财务上的预算需要。
• 8月12-15日，斗湖圣拔特堂：为马来文职青大会代祷。求神的力量和智慧临到Dean Musa，大会的协调员，和他的工作委员。求主透过大会主讲员： Bishop Melter, Bishop John Yeo, Ps. Nicholas Sarasta 和所有工作坊的讲员向他们说话。
o 为大会的一切安排和运作都能够顺利进行。
o 祈求主培养和兴起新一代的职青，他们将影响社会、他们将表现出敬虔和正直的生活、并在职场上和家庭中别有一番作为。
o 祈求祷告参与者深受感动并委身于传讲福音和门训。
o 每位参与者都能够经历神的触摸。
o 祈求庄稼的主打发工人出去，让他们回应神的呼召，参与宣教和全职事奉。
b) 为生病的祷告
• 为我们教会里需要得到身、心、灵上得医治的弟兄姐妹来祷告。
c) 为国家祷告
• 祈求复兴临到众教会和马来西亚。花时间向神求明确的复兴异象并且不住地祷告祈求。
• 祈求复兴和医治临到东亚，特别是中国和香港 – 求神看顾保守中国和香港，不受仇敌的诡计和阴谋影响。求神让他们的心灵敞开领受福音。
