The following are the Diocesan prayer items for the week beginning Sunday 15th September 2019:
1. Thanksgiving
• Give thanks God for the nation of Malaysia. We thank the Lord for peace we enjoy in this nation and blessing us with abundance of resources. We thank the Lord especially for the racial and religious harmony we enjoy in Sabah.
2. Intercession
a) Praying for the Diocese family
• Pray for the Church of the Good Samaritan, the Rector, Canon Chin Pit Vun, his family, clergy, pastors and staff team, that the Lord will supply all their needs.
◦ Pray that through discipleship, the congregations will be established in the word and mission of God. Pray that ministry and leadership responsibilities will be shared.
◦ Greater spiritual breakthrough in the church.
• Remember the BM Lay Reader Training (LPA) from 17-19 September in Telupid. Pray for the organizers for smooth running of the LPA. Pray for the participants to be equipped for the service of the Lord and for lives to be impacted and transformed.
b) Praying for the Province
• Let us seek the Lord’s guidance and leading in the coming Extraordinary Provincial Synod from 23-25 September in Kuching, as the Province comes together to elect the next Archbishop for a term of 4 years. Also remember the Province as the Provincial Synod will also deliberate on the creation of new dioceses within the Diocese of West Malaysia.
c) Praying for the sick
• Praying for healing for all those who are in need of healing in our congregations, spirit, soul or body.
d) Praying for the nations
• Pray for healing in our society especially between relationships the various races and religions. Ask the Lord to uproot any root of bitterness, distrust, wounding from our shared history in this nation.
• Pray for racial and religious harmony. Ask the Lord to protect this nation from the divisive scheme of the enemy. Resist the works of the devil to “divide and rule”. Pray for unity and mutual respect among the people of this nation
Mark 1:4-5
John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. And all the country of Judea and all Jerusalem were going out to him and were being baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.
• Pray for the Evangelism & Mission Work of Churches in Malaysia
◦ Pray that churches will obey the Word of God, to go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation (Mark 16:15) and that there will be good partnership between churches and para-churches to be salt and light in reaching out to lost souls in the nation
◦ Pray for churches to be actively involved in missions within or without Malaysia, that new churches will be constantly planted in different towns and villages all over Malaysia and that missionaries will be prepared for cross-cultural work
• Focusing on Southeast Asia – pray for healings to come to the nations, and revival to come to the Church in this region. Pray for hearts to be open to the gospel.
BAHASA MALAYSIA
Berikut adalah bahan doa bagi minggu yang bermula pada hari minggu, 15hb September 2019:
1. Kesyukuran
• Bersyukur kepada Allah untuk bangsa Malaysia. Kita ucap syukur kepada TUHAN atas keamanan yang kita nikmati dalam negara ini dan memberkati kita dengan sumber yang berkelimpahan. Kita bersyukur kepada TUHAN terutamanya untuk keharmonian kaum dan agama yang kita nikmati di Sabah
2. Doa Syafaat
a. Berdoa untuk keluarga Diosis
• Berdoa untuk Gereja Good Samaritan, Rektornya, Canon Chin Pit Vun serta keluarga, paderi, pastor dan staf, agar TUHAN akan memenuhi semua keperluan mereka melampaui imajinasi mereka
i. Berdoa agar melalui pemuridan, jemaat akan diperteguhkan pada firman dan misi Allah. Berdoa agar tanggungjawab pelayanan dan kepimpinan akan dikongsikan Bersama
ii. Penerobosan rohani yang lebih besar di gereja
• Berdoa untuk Latihan Pemimpin Awam yang akan diadakan pada September 17-19 di Telupid. Berdoa untuk aturan LPA yang lancar. Berdoa agar semua peserta akan diperlengkapkan untuk pelayanan TUHAN dan hidup mereka akan diimpak dan diubah
b. Berdoa untuk Provinsi
• Mari kita cari bimbingan dan pimpinan TUHAN untuk Sinod Provinsi Luar Biasa yang akan diadakan di Kuching pada September 23-25, dimana Provinsi akan berhimpun untuk memilih Archbishop yang seterusnya untuk jangka masa 4 tahun. Berdoa untuk Provinsi di mana Sinod Provinsi juga akan membincangkan pembentukan Diosis baru dalam Diosis Semenanjung Malaysia
c. Berdoa untuk mereka yang sakit
• Berdoa untuk semua orang yang memerlukan penyembuhan dalam roh, jiwa dan tubuh di kalangan jemaah kita
d. Berdoa untuk bangsa-bangsa
• Berdoa untuk kesembuhan dalam masyarakat kita terutamanya di antara hubungan pelbagai kaum dan agama. Meminta TUHAN untuk mencabut akar umbi kepahitan, ketidakpercayaan, luka-luka daripada sejarah negara ini
• Berdoa untuk keharmonian kaum dan agama. Meminta TUHAN untuk melindungi negara ini daripada muslihat perpecahan musuh. Menentang semua kerja iblis untuk “pecah dan perintah”. Berdoa untuk kesatuan dan saling menghormati di kalangan rakyat negara ini
Markus 1:4-5
Demikianlah Yohanes Pembaptis tampil di padang gurun dan menyerukan: “Bertobatlah dan berilah dirimu dibaptis dan Allah akan mengampuni dosamu.” Lalu datanglah kepadanya orang-orang dari seluruh daerah Yudea dan semua penduduk Yerusalem, dan sambil mengaku dosanya mereka dibaptis di sungai Yordan.
• Berdoa untuk kerja-kerja penginjilan dan misi Gereja di Malaysia
i. Berdoa agar gereja-gereja akan mentaati Firman Tuhan, pergi ke serata dunia dan khabarkan injil kepada setiap insan (Markus 16:15). Dan aka nada kerjasama yang baik di antara gereja-gereja dan para-gereja untuk menjadi garam dan terang dalam menjangkau jiwa-jiwa yang hilang di negara
ii. Berdoa untuk gereja-gereja terlibat secara aktif dalam misi dalam atau luar Malaysia, yang akan sentiasa ada gereja-gereja baru yang ditanam di bandar-bandar dan kampung-kampung yang berbeza di seluruh Malaysia dan para mubaligh akan bersedia untuk pekerjaan lintas budaya
• Fokus pada Asia Tenggara – berdoa untuk kesembuhan bangsa-bangsa, dan kebangunan rohani Gereja di rantau ini. Berdoa agar hati mereka terbuka kepada injil

1. 感恩
• 为马来西亚来向神献上感恩。我们也为我们所享受的平安以及赐我们丰富的资源在这个国家来感谢祂。我们也要特别的感谢神因为在沙巴我们能够享有种族和宗教的和谐。
2. 代祷
a) 为教区大家庭祷告
• 为圣公会仁爱堂祷告 – 陈必文法政牧师和家人、牧者、传道和同工们，求神供应一切超乎他们所需所想。
◦ 祷告透过门训，会友们能够在神里建立祂的话语和使命。也祈求事工和领袖的责任能够分担。
◦ 教会更大的属灵突破。
• 纪念国文部读经员训练（Latihan Pemimpin Awam）于9月17至19日在特鲁必进行。祷告祈求LPA能够筹备的顺利妥当。也祷告好让所有参加者能够为主的事工受装备以及生命得影响得改变。
b) 为教省祷告
• 让我们同心合意的为来临于9月23至25日在古晋的教省特别会议祷告，因藉此会议，教省各教会代表将聚集来选下一任为期四年的大主教。同时也纪念教省会议即将审议西马教区建立新教区的议题。
c) 为生病的祷告
• 为我们教会里需要得到身、心、灵上得医治的弟兄姐妹来祷告。
d) 为国家祷告
• 为我们的社会来祈求上帝的医治特别是在不同种族和宗教之间的关系。求上帝从我们在这个国家的共同历史中所遭受的任何痛苦、不信任和伤害的根源连根拔起。
• 为种族和宗教和谐祷告。祈求神保守这国家不受仇敌分裂并让它的诡计得逞。
抵挡魔鬼“分而治之”的作为。为这国家的人民祷告，能够彼此团结和互相尊重。
马可福音1：4-5
照这话，约翰来了，在旷野施洗，传悔改的洗礼，使罪德赦。犹太全地和耶路撒冷的人都出去到约翰那里，承认他们的罪，在约旦河里受他的洗。
• 为马来西亚教会的布道和宣教事工祷告
◦ 求神帮助教会能够遵守神的话语，往普天下去，传福音给万民（万民：原文是凡受造的）听（马可福音16：15），使教会和福音机构之间拥有良好的伙伴关系，成为光和盐为国家赢得失丧的灵魂。
◦ 求神帮助教会能活跃的参与马来西亚国内外的宣教事工，持续的在马来西亚不同的城市与乡村建立新的教会，预备好宣教士能参与跨文化的事工。
• 以东南亚为重点 – 祈求神的医治临到国家以及复兴来到这个地带的教会。祷告敞开的心来领受福音。
