Our Diocese of Sabah will be hosting the General Assembly of the Council of the Church of East Asia (CCEA) next month, from 2-6 October 2019. 150 bishops, clergy and laypersons from Anglican dioceses across East Asia and Australia will be gathering in Kota Kinabalu for worship, fellowship and discussions. The theme of the assembly is “Challenges of the 21st Century Disciples of Christ.” The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd Justin Welby, will be in attendance, and a Thanksgiving Service with him and the CCEA General Assembly representatives will be held at All Saints’ Cathedral, Kota Kinabalu on Thursday, 3 October at 5pm. Diosis Sabah akan menjadi tuan rumah bagi Perhimpunan Agung Majlis Gereja Asia Timur (CCEA) pada bulan hadapan, dari 2hb-6hb Oktober 2019. 150 orang bisyop, paderi dan jemaat awam dari diosis-diosis Anglikan di Asia Timur dan Austraila akan berkumpul di Kota Kinabalu untuk penyembahan, persekutuan dan perbincangan. Tema perhimpunan ini adalah “Cabaran bagi Murid-murid Kristus Abad ke-21.” Archbisyop Canterbury, Most Revd Justin Welby, akan menyertai perhimpunan ini, dan satu Kebaktian Kesyukuran bersama beliau dan wakil-wakil Perhimpunan Agung CCEA akan diadakan di Katedral All Saints, Kota Kinabalu pada hari Khamis, 3hb Oktober pada pukul 5 petang.
